With several businesses under one roof, this project involved coverage for a service station, food distribution service (over 20 vehicles), car rental, trailer hire and café.

Despite previous efforts with an existing security system, the client was still experiencing theft from both staff and customers, with drive-offs and fraud through the onsite rental business. 

In order to mitigate risk and manage these issues, VSP developed a high-level CCTV solution using Milestone’s Open Platform Architecture to integrate existing and future technologies. Some of the project challenges were migration from old, analogue technology to IP, migration from Proprietary to Open Platform Server Based VMS Systems, scale and planning of deployment with such a busy site, and deployment needing to be done while all systems were kept operational. 

 

  
   
 

 

  
 

VSP’s security solution has already satisfied and exceeded the client expectations. The new CCTV system has already been used many times to prosecute. Milestone is used as a tool to manage staff as well as monitor the security and integrity of transactions on site. Milestone’s Open Platform has given the customer the ability to use technology as its released. With the customer’s active Care Subscription, they are always using the latest technology and are never using outdated features.
